Husband and Wife Retire with Combined 45 Years From Framingham Schools

Husband and wife Stacy Young and Phillip Young both will retire from the Framingham Public Schools with more than 20 years.

Husband and wife Stacy Young and Phillip Young are looking forward to retirement.

The duo will leave the Framingham Public Schools with a combined 45 years of service this month.

Thursday night, Brophy Elementary School held a retirement party for its retirees at La Cantina in Framingham.

Mrs. Young has taught in the Framingham Public Schools since 1994. The Brophy Elementary assistant special educator, says after school ends the couple will be moving to Florida.

Mr. Young has worked for Building & Grounds, in the Framingham Public Schools.

After this year’s historic winter, both are looking forward to sunny weather and to be closer to family in Florida.

Besides celebrating her retirement Thursday night, Young, who is the lead negotiator for the Unit T bargaining unit of the Framingham Teachers Association, was also celebrating reaching an agreement on her unit’s contract.
