The newest Framingham business has a "wall of sour," as well as beers from Massachusetts, New England, America and around the World.

Forget serving wine with your Thanksgiving turkey later this month, instead try a craft beer to go with roasted bird.

Patrick Loranger owner of the Craft Beer Cellar, which opened last weekend in Framingham, said he would recommend Mystic Brewing Company’s Table Beer to go with your Thanksgiving day meal.

Loranger and his wife Kristin, Natick residents, and their staff can make a craft beer recommendation for any meal to customers.

While you won’t find a beer from all 50 states, you can shop beers from around America. The store is designed by geographic location, said Loranger.

There is a Massachusetts section and a New England section. There is an East Coast, no Coast (middle America), and a West Coast area. There is an international section with German and Belgian lagers, but also British, Asian and Itish beers, including a double chocolate stout.

There is a β€œwall of sour” beers, a hard cider section, and a very small wine selection. The store even has a gluten-free craft beer selection, said Loranger.

On its grand opening, the Craft Beer Cellar in Framingham was offering customers samples of Jack’s Abby Brewing beers they sell, of course. Loranger’s favorite jack’s beer is Hoponius Union, an American pale lager.

The Craft Beer Cellar franchise has been booming in the Commonwealth and across the country.Five years ago, Suzanne Schalow and Kate Baker opened the first Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont. Today, the the franchise is in 10 states with plans to open more than a dozen additional locations.

You know the franchise is doing well when it makes its way on to the label of a craft brewing company’s beer. Massachusetts-based Clown Shoes, features a Craft Beer Cellar location on its Blimp, imperial red ale. You can purchase a bottle or a six-pack of Blimp at the Framingham location.

The Framingham store is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The store plans to offer not only tastings, but educational classes on craft beer, said Loranger.

β€œWe are passionate about beer,” said Loranger.

What makes the store unique is the company’s motto, said Loranger.

β€œOne: Great beer. Two: Hospitality. Three: Education,” said Loranger. β€œWe want you to treat the store as extension of your home. Come in, ask questions, bring friends and family, try something new,” said Loranger, who said the selection at the store would change weekly, and of course seasonally.

”We are happy and excited to be in Framingham,” said Loranger and his wife, who were customers of the Craft Beer Cellar in Newton, before opening their franchise on Route 9 in Framingham on Nov. 7.
