The Framingham Library kicked-off its summer reading program for kids, with a weekend event, featuring Framingham DPW, police and fire trucks. Boys and girls enjoyed climbing into the driver seat of many of the Framingham DPW vehicles and beeping the horns!They also explored the other vehicles on site, including the Access Framingham remote studio truck and a U.S. Postal Truck. Framingham Highway Director Dan Nau said his department gave away more than 500 hard hats Saturday morning.Special guests at the event was Batman and Merida, the princess from Disney's Brave.The <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/framingham/framingham-library-kicks-summer-reading-program-0">library has more summer reading events for kids and teens planned for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
