Cameron Middle School competed in the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s Drama Festival on Saturday and came away with a Gold Medal.
Cameron Middle performed Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon at Horace Mann Middle School in Franklin yesterday morningas part of the METG festival.
“Cameron had a great day at the Middle School Festival,” said Principal Michelle Melick to Framingham Patch. ”They won 7 All-Star Cast awards and a Gold Medal.”

All-Star Cast awards were given to:
- Natalia Buitta for her role of Cinderella
- Jenny Sturim for her role of Rapunzel
- Lars Olsen - actor’s award.
- Dan Lavin and Laura Walkup for their roles of Hansel and Gretel
- Joey MacDonald - set award
- Nolan Angus as narrator
- Connor Angus as narrator
“I am so proud of Diana Blue, the director, costumer Georgia Maddock, and the cast and crew,” said Melick.

Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, a one-act play by Don Zolidis. The play is a comedy which revolves around a troupe of actors, who have decided to perform all 209 Grimm Brothers stories in 40 minutes, under the guidance of two narrators, explained director Blue.
The show is an exploration for the cast in the world of fast paced comedic energy, physicality and timing, said Blue.
