The Framingham High boys track team defeated Braintree High 75-60 at Bowditch Field on Wednesday afternoon.
It was the final home meet of the season for the Flyers.

“It was a superb day for the Flyers,” said head coach Chris Collins.
“The team was led by Chris Barone, Captain Paul Halberstadt and Captain David Welch,” said Collins.

Barone qualified for the state meet in two events on Wednesday, said Collins.
And Halberstadt competed after having a fever of 101 degrees on Monday, added Collins.
Barone qualified for the state meet in the 800 with a time of 2:00.9 minutes.
He anchored the 4X400 relay team that qualified for the state meet with a time of 3:38.9 minutes. His teammates were Tyler Retalic, Nick Benoit, and Darian Kianfar.
Senior Welch finished in first place in the ling jump with a leap of 19-feet, 5-inches and second place in the triple jump. He also finished in second place in the 110-meter hurdles, with a time of 16.3 seconds.
Halberstadt, a junior, qualified for the state meet in finishing in second place in the 400 hurdles event in 61 seconds. His brother Nate, a freshman, took third place. Paul Halberstadt also finished second in the javelin and second in the high jump.
Junior Ben Kirchman won the 110-meter hurdles and qualified for the state meet with a time of 15.6 seconds.
Marc Umumbu, a junior, qualified for the state meet in winning the discus event with a throw of 133 feet.
Framingham won both distance events.
Junior captain Mike McDonald won the mile in 4:41.7 seconds. Senior captain Andrew Kaluzny finished in third place.
Senior Andrew Harrod won the 2-mile race in 10:24.1 seconds. Sophomore Alex Lowry finished in second place.
Sophomore Tyler Retalic won the 400 with a time of 42.9 seconds.
Junior captain Jake Ferraro won the javelin event with a throw of 132 feet.
Senior Chris Elliott finished in second place in the show put with a throw of 39-feet, 11 inches.
Senior Vinicius Tavares captured second place in the 200 race at 23.6 seconds. Matt Kimmelstiel finished third for the Flyers.
In the 100-meter dash, junior Nick Benoit finished in third place at 11.6 seconds.
