Interim Assistant Principal Named at Hemenway Elementary

Meet and Greet on August 19 for Interim Principal and Interim Assistant Principal planned.

Kelly Napierski has been selected as Interim Assistant Principal at Hemenway School.

Interim Principal Liz Simon announced the selection in an email to parents today, August 7.

Simon was named Interim Principal when Hemeneway Elementary School Principal Lucia Laguarda announced in mid-July she was leaving the Framingham Public School District after 5 years. Her last day was July 31.

“Kelly‘s credentials are impressive, and together with her extensive experience, she emerged from a remarkable group of applicants as the right choice for Hemenway School,” wrote Simon to parents.

“Kelly has been at Hemenway School since 2000 working as a classroom teacher, special educator and literacy coach. This past year she accepted the challenge to become the head teacher/administrative intern at the King School. Kelly has demonstrated a commitment to the Hemenway community over the past 15 years,” wrote Simon.

Napierski holds a Master’s Degree in reading, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary and special education.

“ Her experience and dedication will ensure a smooth transition as we continue to provide our students with a rich and challenging learning environment. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2015/2016 school year,“ wrote Simon.

A meet and greet of the Hemenway administrative team is scheduled for Wednesday Aug. 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. for all members of the Hemenway community.
