“Going into the round I was just hoping to make top 10 and to break 85, and to come in sixth was a big accomplishment for me personally, only being a sophomore,” Jones told Framingham Patch.
“Golf requires a lot of mental toughness which was key to my round today. I was pretty steady through most of the round, and I made a lot of clutch putts that were important,” said Jones. “I’m really happy with my achievements this year, and how far I’ve come from last year as a freshmen. Next year I’m looking to place even better.”

Framingham High Junior Max Ferrari finished in second place in the NE Championship for the boys, said Cook.
“This was an impressive pair of finishes in a field comprised of the top high school golfers from each of the New England states, even more so considering that Max is a junior and Jillian is a sophomore,” said Cook.
