
Newton, Mass. β The Framingham State University field hockey team surrendered a pair of goals in each half as the Rams were defeated 4-1 by Lasell College in non-conference action Thursday afternoon.
With the win, the Lasers are now 8-8 on the year, while the Rams dip to 3-12 with the loss.
Lasell grabbed the early lead with a goal just 6:06 into the game, but the lead would last less than a minute. Freshman Meaghann Ackerman fired a long shot on the cage that deflected in for her team leading 7th of the season tying the game at 1-1 just over seven minutes in.

The deadlock would last until the 25th minute when Cristina Wilson put the Lasers on top for good with her 9th of the season. The Lasers would extend their lead to two in the 42nd minute on a goal from Courtney Braman and Ashley Gleason would finish the scoring in the 65th minute.
The Lasers outshot the Rams 23-16 in the game, but the Rams held a 7-5 edge in penalty corners. Junior Alexandra Ricco suffered the loss in the cage despite making 12 saves. Denise Landry and Brianna Kulvete combined to make seven saves for the Lasers as each saw action for 35 minutes.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Little East rival Western Connecticut State at 2 p.m. on Senior Day.
