Lemus, Matzilevich Win Homework Center's Essay Contest
More than 100 middle and high school students entered the What I Love About Framingham essay contest.
What do you love about Framingham? That was the focus of an essay contest sponsored by the Homework Center at the Framingham Public Library.
Thursday night, the winners were announced at the Deluxe Depot Diner, during a fundraiser to benefit the Framingham Public Library Foundation.
In total, 108 middle and high school students entered the contest, said Homework Center Director Judy Gatlin.

Framingham High student Lucy Matzilevich and Cameron Middle sixth grader Ashley Lemus were announced as the winners by Framingham Selectman Jason Smith, who donated the prizes for the contest, a $100 for each winner.

Every student who entered the contest was given a thank you gift, said Gatlin.
On Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. the Homework Center is hosting a reception for all the students who entered the contest at the main Framingham Library. The essay will be on display for everyone to read, said Gatlin.
