The Barbieri Elementary parent and Chelmsford Public Schools teacher says Tiano is a very teacher friendly administrator.

The following is a letter that was emailed to the Framingham School Committee and submitted to Framingham Patch as a letter to the editor:

I am a resident of Framingham, parent of third grader at Barbieri and a teacher at Chelmsford Public Schools.

I think Dr. Stacy L. Scott’s hiring of Frank Tiano as Assistant Superintendent is outstanding.

As Superintendent in Chelmsford he constantly talked to teachers in the different buildings. He makes people feel listened to and he takes an active role getting to know the people and the many programs going on in the district. Frank is an innovator.

Frank Tiano was selected by the United States Department of Education as 1 of 100 top school leaders to attend the first National Connected Superintendents Summit at the White House.

He has a record of finding innovative solutions. As a teacher I work with cutting edge assistive technology. This has helped a number of students with disabilities and saved the district money. This is something that is only possible with good leadership that understands the value of new technology and ideas.

If you look closely at Frank’s track record of finding solutions you will find many good examples.

I urge the teachers and school committee to please take the time to get to know Frank Tiano.

He has all of the skills and experience to make the Framingham Public Schools even better.
