MA Ranks In Ten Best States For Pets

Turns out, Massachusetts is a pretty good state to be in if you've got a pet.

SafeWise recently released its “10 Most Pet-Friendly States in America” report. To determine the safest and most pet-friendly states in America, SafeWise analyzed and ranked factors that directly impact animal safety, security and comfort.

According to SafeWise, these factors include number of animal shelters and no-kill shelters per state, animal cruelty laws, number of veterinarians per state, and the number of dog parks per state.

Each state was ranked according to their score to determine the safest states in America for pets.

2. Virginia
3. Arizona
4. Oklahoma
5. Colorado
6. Oregon
7. Massachusetts
8. Kansas
9. Rhode Island
10. Washington
