Marian, Framingham High Competing in Semifinals of Drama Festival Saturday
Marian High will perform at Norwell High at 10:30 a.m. Framingham High will perform at Framingham High School at 3:30 p.m.

Both Marian High and Framingham High’s drama companies qualified for the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s Drama Festival semifinals.
Only 42 schools are competing in the semifinal round today. Originally, more than 110 high schools entered the competition.
Both Framingham-based high schools will compete today, and will find out by night’s end fi they will participate in the finals in Boston between March 26-28.

Marian High’s Mainstagers will perform Waving Goodbye at 10:30 a.m. at Norwell High today, March 14. There are a half dozen school performing at Norwell today - only a maximum of two will move on to the finals.
The Framingham High School Drama Company will perform Vieux Carré, an autobiographical play by Tennessee Williams, set in a boardinghouse in New Orleans today at 3:30 p.m. at Framingham High.

Framingham High is hosting North Reading, Andover, Georgetown, Attleboro, and Weymouth high school’s drama companies today in a semifinal round.
The public can attend the performances, at any of the high schools. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. Framingham will perform last at 3:30 p.m. North Reading will perform first at 9:30 a.m.
Framingham High has qualified for the finals 10 of the last 12 years, including last year.
