MassBay Suspends Some Nursing Program Applications
An evaluation by the Board of Registration in Nursing prompted MassBay to suspend registration.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — MassBay Community College suspended admission in its associate degree nursing program for next year, according to a release from the school. The Metrowest Daily news reported the decision comes following an evaluation by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (BORN), but school officials haven't been made privy to exactly why.
Elizabeth Cooper, assistant director of marketing and communications for the school, said the decision came after BORN found "some things that they would like to see fixed," according to the Metrowest Daily News. The school doesn't know specifically what, however, because they haven't seen a report.
"This decision was not made lightly," the school's release says. The release has basic information which potential nursing program candidates will want to know.
