MetroWest Chamber of Commerce Holding 120th Annual Meeting and Awards Gala

The annual event will honor 13 finalists in 5 categories, including Business Leader, Emerging Leader, Small Business, Non-Profit Partner.

The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce will hold its 120th Annual Meeting and Awards gala at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center on Tuesday night, Nov. 17.

The event will pay tribute to the storied past of business growth in the region, introduce the Chamber’s vision and course for its future growth, and celebrate the present by honoring the 13 finalists nominated by their peers for the five annual Chamber Awards. Awards will include Business Leader of the Year, Emerging Leader of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Non-Profit Partner of the Year and Member Engagement Team Member of the Year.

These awards are given to individuals and organizations to recognize their commitment to the communities they serve.

The Business Leader of the Year award recognizes the specific leadership achievements of a MetroWest Business Leader who demonstrates effective leadership and civic involvement as hallmarks of the success enjoyed by their company.

Finalists in this category are: Dana Neshe, Middlesex Savings Bank; John Lawrence, Pepper’s Fine Catering; and, Kevin Giblin, Brendon Properties.

The Small Business of the Year Award traditionally recognizes the important contributions made by small businesses to the creation of new jobs and economic opportunities, as well as community involvement in MetroWest.

Finalists in this category are: Shepherd & Goldstein, LLP, Pabian Law, and Doctors Express.


The Chamber is always pleased to award the Non-Profit Partner of the Year to an organization committed to building and inspiring the MetroWest Region. Recognizing the contributions made by these organizations strengthens the community as a whole.

Finalists in this category are: Veterans Inc., The Learning Center for the Deaf, and Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest.


Lastly, this will be the inaugural year for the Chamber’s Emerging Leader award.

Characterized as someone who is making an impact both professionally and personally in the MetroWest Region, the emerging leader is defined as someone with great potential for leadership and community service.

Finalists in this category are: Jen Maseda, United Way of Tri-County; Erin Harper, Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest; and Bryan Brown, Guaranteed Rate.


In addition, the Chamber will honor its Member Engagement Team Member of the Year.

This individual is selected based upon a long-term commitment to sustainable growth at the Chamber. It recognizes the positive impact of the ambassador’s outreach to other chamber members, yielding a stronger membership base.


The event starts at 5 p.m. with a reception and dinner, followed by the awards show.
