Miele's Hat-trick Leads Framingham State to Victory
The Hudson High's three goals lead the women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over University of Southern Maine Wednesday.

Framingham State senior Marissa Miele registered a hat-trick en-route to a 4-1 victory over the University of Southern Maine in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon in Gorham, Maine.
With the win the Rams improve to 8-5-2 while University of Southern Maine slips to 3-11.

The Rams opened up scoring in the 18th minute when Miele sent in a cross from classmate Brini Varetimos. Miele struck again just under ten minutes later when she scored an unassisted goal in the 26th minute.
University of Southern Maine got on the board early in the second half when Jessica Preble found the back of the net in the 50th minute.

Miele scored again in the 69th minute with an assist coming from Angela Pallotta. The Rams reached the final margin when freshman Megan White (Charlton, Mass.) scored an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute.
Senior Sara Sullivan made 3 saves before being relieved by freshman Jennifer Stevens, a Hopkinton High grad, who made 1 save in the final 15 minutes.
The Rams outshot the hosts 18-to-6 and attempted 4 corner kicks to USMβs 1.
Framingham State returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 24, when they host Mass. Maritime on senior day at Maple St. Field.
