Mooney's Single Earns Legion 10-9 Victory in the 9th Inning

The Framingham Legion Post 74 team is undefeated at 4-0 this season.

The Framingham team went down 6-0 early in Wednesday night’s game, but kept fighting hard and eventually came back to take a 9-6 advantage.

Sturbridge tied the score at 9 in the seventh, sending the game into extra innings.

Both teams continued to battle, but in the bottom of the ninth inning, with bases loaded, Andrew Mooney delivered a sharp single to left, driving in the winning run from third base.

The victory improved Framingham’s record to an impressive 4-0.
