MutualOne Foundation Grants $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters

There are presently more than 75 mentor/mentee pairs active in Framingham and 10 in Natick.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation awarded $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest to support the organization’s mentoring programs in Framingham and Natick, communities where MutualOne Bank has a major presence.

Big Brothers Big Sisters supports at-risk children and youth aged 6 to 18 through individualized mentoring programs that are professionally developed and supported.

According to Jeffrey Chin, CEO, there are presently more thanΒ 75 mentor/mentee pairs active in Framingham and 10 in Natick.

β€œA one-to-one Big Brother or Big Sister relationship can have a profound positive impact on a child facing adversity,β€œ said Robert P. Lamprey, chair of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation. β€œOur Foundation is pleased to play a role in making this life-changing promise available to young people in our community.”

The grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest was among awards totaling more than $57,750 in the Foundation’s most recent round of funding.

Since it was established in 1998, the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has donated over $3.1 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enhance the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
