New Associate Principal Named at Framingham High
The Associate Principal position at Framingham High was created in the summer of 2014. Elyse Torbert was the first person appointed to it.

Framingham High math department head Anne Ludes will be Framingham High’s new associate principal for the 2015-16 school year.
Framingham High Principal Elyse Torbert announced the news to parents in her e-newsletter.
“As a teacher, Anne was a master of curriculum and lesson planning. She was a strong advocate for all students and taught all levels with passion, energy, and commitment,” wrote Torbert to parents. ”As the math department head, Anne has combined an insatiable work ethic with true educational vision. She sees big-picture issues in the school and has the skill-set to create solutions in a forward-thinking way that best serves students and staff in the building. She is also a charismatic relationship-builder and is a trusted voice of honesty and integrity.”

Torbert told parents “ many of us in the school already rely on her for clarity and results-oriented insight.”
Ludes has played a key role in the school’s efforts to use the supervision and evaluation system as a revolutionary tool to continue to improve best practices in the classroom to have a dynamic impact on student learning, explained Torbert.

“Anne’s status as an internal candidate that is familiar with the key players and day-to-day operations at the high school is invaluable for the role she will be filling,” Torbert wrote to parents.
Torbert was appointed to the newly-created position of Associate Principal last year, after Adam Goldberg was named as Framingham High Principal in June 2014.
Goldberg and Torbert were the only two finalists named by Framingham Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott to replace Michael Welch, who left the school district to become Superintendent of Schools in Dedham,
Goldberg resigned as principal in March. Goldberg’s resignation is effective June 30.
Scott quickly named Torbert interim principal, and eventually the new principal as of the 2015-16 school year.
