Nine Reasons to Vote Geoff Epstein in as Framingham Mayor
The November 4 election presents a unique opportunity for voters to bring a sea change in governance to Framingham

- Bring our schools back to excellence, by returning the $18 million Sisitsky took from the schools to bring pre-K to all 4-year-olds, boost classroom aide pay, and make sure school buses never run late again. [NO NEW TAXES]
- Solve the infrastructure problem and lower water & sewer bills, by extending the payoff date for the city pension liability from 2030 to 2040, freeing up $10 million/year to fund the work. No retirees will be affected by this change. [NO NEW TAXES]
- Roll out 10 new solar installations each year, to get the full utility savings benefit before the federal incentives sunset at the end of 2027. The city could reap $2-3 million annually in utility savings if we press ahead fast enough.
- Plant at least 1,000 trees on the city southside, to begin addressing the major heat island problem there.
- Expand curbside composting to all city households, (way beyond the current 500 participants) to cut our trash stream by 40% and save $700,000 annually.
- Make Senior Services a department reporting directly to the Mayor, and conduct a comprehensive review aimed at improving services.
- Bring development in the city back under control, so that neighborhoods are listened to, finished projects are ones we can be proud of, and align with a sound plan for development across the city. Especially, the current domination of city development decision by developers and other parties who don’t live in Framingham will cease.
- Get the Community Center project under control, by first finalizing a plan, with community input and folding in possible use for extending pre-K capacity and handling capacity overflow from the Callahan Center.
- Bring truth, transparency and best practices to city government
