Other performances are Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest at 140 Pearl Street in Framingham. With the story by Michael Stewart, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams, this comic musical is suitable for all ages (rated G). Bye Bye Birdie is an affectionate satire about a rock-and-roll singer about to be inducted in the army, and his effect on a group of teenagers in a small town in Ohio.
