Opening Night for Bye Bye Birdie

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will stage three performance of the musical, starting tonight, May 8.

Performing Arts Center of MetroWest opens its production of Bye Bye Birdie, featuring a cast of students in grades 3-8 from the MetroWest area, tonight May 8 at 7;30.

Other performances are Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest at 140 Pearl Street in Framingham.

With the story by Michael Stewart, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams, this comic musical is suitable for all ages (rated G).

Bye Bye Birdie is an affectionate satire about a rock-and-roll singer about to be inducted in the army, and his effect on a group of teenagers in a small town in Ohio.

Advance Tickets: Adults: $16; Seniors & Youth: $14
