Panthers Skate Past Rams 2-1
Prior to the contest,Framingham State University honored their seven seniors playing in their final ice hockey home game.

The Framingham State University men’s ice hockey team suffered a 2-1 setback to Plymouth State in Conference action at Loring Arena on Saturday evening.
Prior to the contest the Rams honored their seven seniors playing in their final home game Dean Cavicchi, Roy Monson, Jay Nicholls, Dylan Cosford, Ryan McDonald, Brendan McCarron, & Matt Crescione.
With the victory the Panthers improve to 13-8-3 (13-3-1 Conference) and the Rams fall to 6-15-2.

The Rams opened up scoring late in the first period when Tyler Colacchio beat the Panthers goalie over his right shoulder for a 1-0 lead. Nicholls was credited with the assist on the play.
The Panthers utilized their special teams to score their two goals. Just over halfway through the second frame Zack Sarig scored a shorthanded goal with an assist from Chris Zuccaro to knot the game at 1 a side. With just over a minute to play the Panthers took advantage of a power-play when Josh Woody scored the game winner with help from Ian McGilvrey & Sarig.

Rams goalie Alessio Muggli turned away 41 Panthers shots in the loss. Gordan Ceaser made 22 stops for his 12th win of the season.
The Rams were 0-for-3 on the power-play while the Panthers were 1-of-4 on the man advantage and added a shorthanded goal as well.
The Rams will travel to Worcester State on Thursday, Feb. 26 to close the regular season. The game will be played at Hart Recreation Center on the campus of Holy Cross. The Rams are currently tied in points with Worcester State in the Conference standings for the final playoff spot.
