Framingham Police: Pedestrian Struck on Route 9 Friday Night
The man was transported to a Worcester hospital by ambulance, with serious injuries

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Route 9 in Framingham Friday night about 10:30.

Scanner reports had the crash happening on Route 9 westbound close to the Southborough line, near the Hess gas station.
The man, who was not identified, was transported by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, according to the scanner. A medical helicopter was requested, but then cancelled.

His injuries were described as serious, but the type were unknown.
Other drivers, who texted and Facebook messaged Patch, said there was a vehicle with heavy windshield damage at the scene.
Traffic was being detoured in that area on Friday night, as Route 9 westbound was closed for more than an hour.
Framingham and Massachusetts State Police were on the scene and both are investigating.
