Potter Road Brainstormers Club Compete in Future Problem Solving Bowl

Brainstormers Club open to all fourth and fifth grade students at Potter Road Elementary. Beverly Hugo has coached the program for 22 years.

The Potter Road Elementary Brainstormers Club competed in the regional qualifying Bowl of the Massachusetts Future Problem Solving program last weekend. This year’s topic was Propaganda.

The Brainstormers Club is open to all fourth and fifth graders at Potter Road Elementary. Beverly Hugo, Chair of the Framingham School Committee, has been coaching this program for 22 years.

The Future Problem Solving Program International mission is to “develop the ability of young people globally to design and promote positive futures through problem solving using critical and creative thinking.”

In addition to the team competition, the students also participated in the Community Problem Solving competition in which they will identify a local problem and work with community leaders to implement solutions to the problem.
