Public Hearing In Framingham On Issues Facing Women
MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women to Hold Public Hearing on Issues Facing Women.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women (MWCSW) is holding its second public hearing in which residents and community leaders speak about issues facing women in the MetroWest.
The hearing takes place on Wednesday, May 2, at the Framingham Main Library from 6-8 p.m.
“We need to hear first‐hand about the concerns and challenges affecting the lives of the women in the reqion. We want to discuss them as a community in order to begin to see a better way forward,” said Ceylan Rowe, chair, MWCSW, in a statement.

Oral and written testimony will be accepted. To submit testimony before the hearing, email the commission
at metrowestwomen@gmail.com. The MWCSW will report its findings and recommended solutions to the
Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.
Established in 2015, the MetroWest Commission on the Status of Womenis tasked with studying all matters
concerning women in the MetroWest communities of Ashland, Bellingham, Dover, Framingham, Franklin,
Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norfolk, Northborough, Norwood, Sherborn, Southborough, Stow, Sudbury, Walpole, Wayland, Wellesley,
Westborough, Weston and Wrentham.
