Rams Close Out Season With Victory Over Worcester State

The Framingham State University men’s basketball team received 23 points from junior Joe McCabe as the Rams closed the season with a 56-39 victory over Worcester State University in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Worcester.
The Rams close the season at 7-18 overall and 2-10 in the Conference, while the Lancers are now 6-19 on the year and 3-9 in the conference.
McCabe led all scorers with his 23 points on 8-of-11 from the field including 4-of-7 from behind the arc to go along with six rebounds and two assists. Freshman Tony Alexandre chipped in with eight points and five rebounds, while senior Ronnie DeBarros added nine points off the bench. Junior Jacek Louisville added eight points.

The Lancers who did not have any reach double figures were led by eight points from Brendan Rios, while Manny Cabral added seven and Ryan Dibernardo and Paul Brooks added six apiece.
The Rams, who led by six at the half, held the Lancers to just one point in the first nine minutes of the second half. The Rams used an 18-1 capped by a DeBarros dunk in transition to take a 45-22 lead and take control of the game.

The Rams shot 43% from the floor in the game and 43% from behind the arc, while the Lancers could only muster 32% from the field and just 11% from long range.
