Rams Softball Team Qualifies For Post Season Play

The Framingham State University softball team will be the sixth seed in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference tourney.

The Framingham State University softball team has qualified for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Tournament starting Thursday, April 30.

The Rams have earned the 6th seed in the tournament after finishing tied for 5th place with Westfield State at 7-7.

Westfield holds the tiebreaker over the Rams after sweeping their regular season double header.

Framingham State will travel to third-seeded Bridgewater State, who finished 9-5 in the league, for a single elimination play-in game on Thursday at 3 p.m.

The winner of that contest will advance to the double elimination weekend segment of the tournament and travel to MCLA on Friday for the quarter-final round.

The remainder of the tournament will be played at top-seeded Worcester State.

The Rams concluded the regular season with a 13-19 record.

They are led offensively by Tiffanie Marsh, who hit .410 with 5 homers, 20 RBI & 30 runs scored this season.

Junior Natasha Arseneau, finished 7-10 with a 4.54 ERA tallying 70 strikeouts and just 26 walks in the circle for Framingham State.
