Rep. Walsh Appointed Vice Chair of Public Service Committee
The Framingham state representative will also serve on the House ways and means, transportation and financial services committees.

Massachusetts Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo announced his leadership team and assigned members of the House to committees.
Framingham State Rep. Chris Walsh, one of three Democrats who represent the town, was appointed vice chair of the joint committee on public service, to the house committee on ways & means, to the joint committee on transportation and to the joint committee on financial services.
“I look forward to working with the Joint Committee on Public Service as the House Vice Chair,” said Walsh. “The committee is a vital one that deals with all matters concerning the salaries, civil service and retirement of public employees, collective bargaining for state employees and other public employees.”

“My appointments to both the House Committee on Ways and Means and the Joint Committee on Financial Services is an honor,” said Walsh. “These committees consider all legislation affecting the finances of the Commonwealth and are instrumental in the development of the House budget and the economic success of the Commonwealth. I hope to bring all of my problem solving skills to these very important committees.”
In addition to these two committees, Walsh will once again be on the joint committee on transportation.

“The task before us in the area of transportation this session are immense as illustrated by the impacts of the severe weather this year on the transportation in the Commonwealth,” said Walsh.
