Rotary Gives $17,000 To Framingham To Improve Butterworth Park

Framingham Rotary Club gifted $17,000 for improvements to Butterworth Park.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The Framingham Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Division is pleased to announced that the Framingham Rotary Club gifted $17,000 for improvements to Butterworth Park. The donation will help to offset the expenses associated with continued improvements at Butterworth Park. Specifically, these funds will be used to purchase and install a shade shelter that will be located next to the current accessible playground. With this installation, Butterworth Park will offer a formal shaded area.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. Richard Manelis and the Framingham Rotary Club for their continued support and generosity,” said James Snyder, director of Framingham Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, in a statement.

In 2009, the Rotary Club raised and donated $65,000 for professional design services, playground equipment, and walkway improvements to Butterworth Park.
