Severe Thunderstorms Forecasted Today For MetroWest, Framingham
Heavy rainfall, cloud to ground lightning, damaging wind gusts and hail are also possible.

The National Weather Service has issued an alert today, May 28 about the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms across much of southern New England Thursday afternoon and lasting for several hours into the evening.
These storms could hit between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.today.
The National Weather Service says the main threats from Thursday’s storms will be the potential for localized heavy rainfall and dangerous cloud to ground lightning. They do warn severe thunderstorms are possible.

The biggest concern with Thursday’s weather pattern will be a localized strong to damaging wind gusts with the possibility of hail.
Residents are reminded if a thunderstorm approaches to seek indoor shelter immediately.
