SLIDESHOW: 17th Annual Brophy Elementary Science Fair

Superhero scientists, static electricity experts, the physics of roller coasters, and glow-in-the-dark experiments, the 17th Annual Brophy Science Fair had a wide-range of activities and lessons for attendees.

The annual event, sponsored by the Brophy Elementary PTO, featured 23 teams, hundreds of students, and 26 parent coaches.

The Fair provides students from all grades an opportunity to experience the scientific method of discovery.

Students work in teams, exploring a specific subject matter outside the classroom. Each team forms a hypothesis, conducts hands-on experiments, and draws conclusions based on their results.

Parents volunteer their time to work as mentors and coaches for the student teams.
