SLIDESHOW: Framingham Defeats Holliston in Extra Innings

Framingham High School defeated Holliston High Friday afternoon 4-3.

Well, if ever you were going to attend a Framingham High varsity baseball game, Friday afternoon’s game was one to see.

In a fast paced game, the Flyers were down 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning when George Tremblay, Jake O’Brien & Jamie Brigham hit consecutive doubles and Framingham High came out of the inning with the lead.

In the top of the seventh , however, Holliston tied the score, sending the game into extra innings.

Then in the bottom of the ninth, with one out and bases loaded, Zack Modica stroked a game winning, walk off single, giving the Flyers the 4-3 victory. He was immediately surrounded by his teammates in celebration.

Starting pitcher for Framingham was Sam Phipps, who threw an excellent game. Jeff Oberg finished the game for the Flyers in relief.
