SLIDESHOW: Hundreds Participate in McCarthy/Fuller 5K

It was a three-peat for Framingham High runner Andrew Harrod. Heather Lucas was the female winner.

McCarthy Elementary School hosted its 3rd Annual 5K & Fun Run in collaboration with Fuller Middle School on Sunday, May 3.

The event attracted over 300 runners and walkers, along with more than 50 participants in the fun run. Funds raised will benefit McCarthy & Fuller PTOs.

Framingham High senior Andrew Harrod won the 5K for the third consecutive year. He has been the only winner of the 5K since its inception.

McCarthy and Fuller PTOs wanted to thank its sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants.

“We are grateful to the Framingham Auxiliary Police for providing free safety services. We also appreciate the volunteers from Framingham State University who have been a tremendous support to this event for the past three years,” said the schools in a press release.

“Special thanks to our prime sponsors Middlesex Savings Bank, Next Step Living, Kumon and Jomar Distributors,” wrote the schools.
