FRAMINGHAM, MA — It definitely won't be anything like we saw during the weekend blizzard, but a wintry storm will hit the Mass Pike corridor early Friday morning.

The entire state from Norfolk County north and west will be under a winter storm warning starting at 1 a.m. Friday. After that, snow, sleet and ice will begin to accumulate across the state by the Friday morning rush hour.

"Plan on slippery road conditions," the National Weather Service said in the storm warning. "The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute."

Snow predictions as of Wednesday were around 1 to 2 inches for the area between Framingham and Worcester. But snowfall totals drop to an inch or less in southern Worcester County near Milford and east through the middle of Norfolk County, according to forecasts.

There's also the chance of icing up to 1/10th of an inch on Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

More significant snowfall will not be an issue for the area, with only the northwest corner of the state predicted to get more than 3 inches.

The winter storm warning will continue for the region until about 4 p.m. Friday. Temperatures won't get above the mid 30s, and will drop into the low teens overnight Friday — meaning more icing possible on Saturday.
