UPDATED: Small Fire Reported at Potter Road Elementary

Framingham firefighters responded to a report of a bathroom fire Thursday morning.

Framingham firefighters responded to a report of a small fire at Potter Road Elementary School today at 10 a.m.

The fire was reported in a trash barrel in the first floor boys bathroom.

No one was injured.

Students were outside for about 20-30 minutes, until the Fire Department gave the all clear.

“After the Fire Department gave us the go ahead, we had students gather in the gymnasium due to the cold,” wrote Principal Paula Del Prete in a memo that went home to parents and was also emailed to parents this afternoon.

Del Prete said the a custodian used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

Framingham Fire and Police are investigating the incident.
