This Street Is Closed Next Week In Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, MA—A temporary closure for a portion of A Street is in effect from Monday, July 23, until the afternoon of Friday, July 27, as the city’s contractor for the North Concord Roadway Improvements Project performs drainage work, including a new increased-capacity culvert for A Street.

The city announced that a full roadway closure of A Street south of Bonito Drive is required to allow for safe and efficient construction and to complete the work in a timely manner.

Hours of construction will be 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.; however, due to the nature of this work, the closure will remain in place 24 hours a day until the work is complete.

The city has scheduled this work on A Street during the less-active summer season, in part, to mitigate the impact to Framingham High School. Two-way traffic will be maintained on A Street from Bonito Drive north to Concord Street.

The traffic detour directs drivers on Concord Street approaching from the south to continue on Concord Street and access A Street from the north. Residents of Bonito Drive, Dunham Road, Winch Park Road, and B Street will similarly be directed to travel north on A Street to connect with Concord Street.
