Superintendent: Looking Forward To Implement Task Force Reccomendations

Framingham School Superintendent issues a press release on the Communications and Public Relations Task Force's final report.

The following is a press release issued by the Framingham Public Schools, and is being printed as is:

At the School Committee meeting of May 18, 2015, members of the School Communication and Public Relations Task Force presented the findings of their work.

Members included Jim Stockless, Greg Palmer, Catherine Allen, Kim Comatas, Geoffrey Epstein, Brian Menna, Brad Puffer, Laura Richards, Dr. Eric Silverman and Don Taggart, III.

“I applaud the efforts and findings of the Task Force members and look forward to implementing many of the suggestions,” said Dr. Scott.

“I want to personally thank the members for the excellent job in preparing a concise and well informed document which will be incredibly useful to the District,” he stated.

The four main recommendations were

1) improve the quality of the communications from the Superintendent’s office and other sources within FPS;

2) overhaul the district website, as it is critical information hub and communications center;

3) support genuine two-way communication and

4) ensure that communications relation to academic matters are given a high priority.
