'Take An Interest In One Another': Framingham Superintendent

Framingham's superintendent created a video message welcoming students back after winter break, and focuses on school safety improvements.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Superintendent Robert Tremblay took to the video camera over the weekend to make sure he addressed the student body, parents and staff as they return to classes following not only winter break, but the shooting tragedy in Florida.

"I wanted to reach out to families and staff in the wake of the tragedy," said Tremblay, and i'm sure what is on eeryones mind is school security and safety. we will do our best to keep our schools safe and secure. in fact, we have plans forour upcoming fiscal budget that include improved safety efrots at all our school the most imprtant work we can do is spend time to imrpove relationshops at our schools. mental health issues are paramount.

Tremblay continued that students and staff need to work at becoming more adept at recognizing signs and signals that someone may be struggling or need attention, or be mentally disturbed.

While no amount of security and ALICE training can replace the need to build relationships to imrpove our schools.

re engage with one another. take an interest in one another to make sure we are all mindful in waht's happening in our hallways and classrooms.
