Team Framingham Has Raised More Than $30,000

Many of the team's runners participated in a 18-21 mile run, along the marathon course on Saturday in preparation of the Boston Marathon.

Team Framingham, fundraising for six local charities, just topped the $ 30,000 mark announced Framingham Selectmen Vice Chair Mike Bower Sunday.

As of 10 a.m. on Sunday March 29, Team Framingham runners have raised $ 30,068 for local charities.

The runners have raised more than $12,000, since the last update on March 4.

With three weeks to go until Marathon Monday, Team Framingham fundraising is off to a great start, said Bower, in a press release.

Donations to the Team Framingham runners and their various charitable organizations can be made by visiting the town web-site at the following link: www.framinghamma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/18208

Please help our Team Framingham runners and the organizations they are running for, said Bower, who also will be running in the 2015 Boston Marathon.

They are well on their way to catching the 2014 Team Framingham fundraising total of $53,572, he added.

Your contributions today can help six great organizations cross the finish line of fundraising success.

Team Framingham runners are currently training very hard for this year’s marathon, said Bower.

They are being mentored by members of the Greater Framingham Running Club; Ed Finnegan, Ed Stoll, and Bower.

Many of the team’s runners participated in a long an 18-21 mile run, along the marathon course on Saturday March 28 in preparation for the Boston Marathon.
