Town of Framingham Receives High Marks on Assessing Practices
A state official displayed statistics on Framingham's compliance with triennial certification at this week's Selectmen's meeting.

The following is a press release from the Town of Framingham:
The State’s Bureau of Local Assessment, a Division of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, gave the Town of Framingham high marks for their assessing practices during their presentation to the Board of Selectmen Tuesday night.
Joanne Graziano, Bureau Chief for the Division of Local Assessment, reviewed the certification process that the State applies to all cities and towns in the Commonwealth, and complimented Framingham on their assessing practices and valuations.
Graziano highlighted the local requirements of the certification process and displayed statistics on Framingham’s compliance with triennial certification from the state.

The Bureau of Local Assessment is responsible for regulation, oversight, training and technical assistance to cities and towns in the areas of real and personal property valuation and classification. One of the main duties of the Bureau is to review and recertify each municipality’s property values once every three years to ensure they are at full and fair cash value.
