Town Manager: Main Framingham Library Closed Indefinitely

Two workers were injured in an "explosion" at the library on Saturday. The Library has "significant damage to the electrical system."

The main Framingham Library has β€œsignificant damage to the electrical system,” and will be closed all week, said Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin Tuesday night to Patch.

Two contract workers were injured in an ”electrical explosion” at the Framingham Library on Saturday morning about 7:30. One was treated and released with second degree burns. The other has second and third degree burns on 36 percent of his body.

Halpin said the state fire marshal finished its investigation at the library yesterday, but now OSHA and the insurance companies need to complete their investigations, before work can begin to repair the damage inside the Lexington Street library.
