TRAFFIC ALERT: Where You'll Find Road Projects In Framingham This Week

The following is a list of road construction project by the Town of Framingham and MassDOT in town this week.

CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: Major demolition of the bridge beams will continue. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road Bridge. Please allow additional travel time.

CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: the MassDOT contractor will continue storm drain construction on Hollis Street between Gordon Street and Irving Street. An electrical contractor will be constructing traffic control foundations on Hollis Street at Irving Street. Expect minor delays.

DANFORTH STREET: The contractor will be putting temporary traffic markings on the roadway. Expect delays. Seek alternate route.

ELM STREET WESTON AQUEDUCT PEDESTRIAN CROSSING: The contractor will continue construction of the new HAWK system at the Weston Aqueduct crossing of Elm Street. Expect minimal traffic delays.

EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: The contractor will continue night work on Monday through Thursday evenings, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.. on Concord Street between Sanger Street and Union Avenue. Expect moderate traffic delays.

HEMENWAY ROAD AREA: Roadway surface preparation work will begin. Expect minor delays.

HERBERT STREET/IRVING STREET/LORING DRIVE: Contractors will be working on installing a sewer manhole and sewer pipes at the intersection of Irving Street and Loring Drive. A second crew will be flushing and testing the water main on Blandin Avenue. Expect moderate delays.

MELLON STREET: The contractor will be performing final surveying work. Expect minimal traffic delays.

NEWBURY STREET: The contractor will be placing temporary traffic markings, installing traffic loop installation, curb work, sidewalk preparation work and drainage installation. Expect delays. School buses will be given priority. Seek alternate route.

OLD WORCESTER ROAD AREA: Roadway surface preparation work will begin. Expect minor delays.

RIVERPATH DRIVE: The contractor will be working on sidewalks and landscaping. Expect minor delays.

ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: No lane closures expected for motor vehicles; however, the pedestrian sidewalk on the westbound side of Route 9 will be closed. Minor traffic impacts expected.

SAXONVILLE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: In the area of School Street and A Street, utility wire transfers and pole removal will continue and minor sidewalk work will take place. Please expect occasional delays.

WATER STREET: The contractor will continue work on the retaining wall on the east side of Water Street. Expect minor delays.

WHITTIER STREET: The contractor will continue sidewalk and curb work in the area. Expect minor delays. Seek alternate route.

WINTER STREET BRIDGE OVER CSX: The MassDOT contractor will continue work on the temporary sewer bypass and prepare the site for construction to begin. Expect minor delays.
