Ashland Commuter Rail Fatally Strikes Man
A 62-year-old man is dead, transit police said.

ASHLAND, MA—A 62-year-old man is dead after being struck by a train in Ashland, said police.
On Nov. 8, at approximately 1:50 p.m. Transit Police officers received a radio call to respond to Ashland for a person possibly struck by a train. Several TPD units along with Ashland Fire and EMS responded.
Investigators report that a male, while trespassing on the right of way in the vicinity of Front Street, was struck by an outbound Amtrak train on Track 1. The male, approximately age of 62, has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.
