Trinity Defeats Framingham State 71-60

The Framingham State University men's basketball team is now 1-4 on the season.

The Framingham State University men’s basketball team dropped a non-conference contest this evening to Trinity College 71-60 at the Athletic Center.

With the win, the Bantums even their record at 1-1 on the year, while the Rams dip to 1-4 on the year.

The Rams led 39-38 on a Matt Diver layup with 15:23 remaining in the second half, but the Bantums rattled off a 19-0 run over the next seven minutes capped by a three point play from junior Chris Turnbull to take control of the game.

Senior Jaquann Starks led the visitors with 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field, while senior Shay Ajayi contributed a double double. Ajayi tallied 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Junior Langdon Neal and sophomore Eric Gendron chipped in with nine points apiece.

The Rams were led by 16 points from senior guard Tim McCarthy.

McCarthy connected on 5-of-13 from the field and just 2-of-8 from behind the arc. Sophomore Tony Alexandre added 13 points on 50% shooting from the field to go along with eight boards, while junior Daniel Gould added 13 points.
The Rams are back in action on December 1st at Wheaton College at 7 p.m.
