
The pilot of a helicopter that crashed into the Ashland Reservoir is safely on shore, Massachusetts State Police confirmed Wednesday.
State Police initially reported that air and ground units were investigating reports of an unspecified aircraft in the water. Ashland Police were already at the scene, according to MSP.
Although the pilot was safe, the helicopter was still in the water this evening.

As of about 8 p.m., State Police said its dive team, along with the Ashland Fire Department and state officials, were working to remove the helicopter from the reservoir.
