Here's what's open and closed on Veterans Day, which is being observed this year on Monday, Nov. 12.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Because it falls on a Sunday this year, Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 12. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.

What's Closed
- Public Schools
- State and federal offices
- Public Libraries
- Post offices
- Most banks will be closed to observe the holiday
- Milford Town Hall
What's Open
- Trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day in Framingham this week,

Both the MBTA and the commuter rail will operate on a regular weekday schedule. THE RIDE Service will also operate on weekday schedule
