VIDEO: RLR Studio Hosts CD Release Party for Candy O'Terry

RLR studio and Beauty PaRLR in Framingham celebrated its one-year anniversary, with a star-studded and CD release party on Saturday night.

For Candy O’Terry recording a CD has always been on her bucket list.

This past weekend, the dream of the former Magic 106.7 radio personality came true as she held a CD release party for Dream Come True, her first CD, at RLR Studio in Saxonville Saturday night.

The CD release party was also an anniversary party for RLR Studio and Beauty ParLR, which opened a year ago in the historic mills in Framingham, by Rachael Lyndsey Rubin.

The night celebrated two female entrepreneurs and their amazing journeys thus far.

“For those of you here tonight for the first time, you are standing in my creation. Welcome,” said Rubin. “A salon combined with a photography studio, the first of its kind.”

Rubin said her Framingham businesses offer “trending and quality beauty services, and as the photography I provide creative and custom photo shoots.”

“This has been one of the most exhilarating years of my life,” said the 24 year old who grew up in Framingham, and now lives in Natick. ”Watching and idea I had hovering in my mind, become a fully-functioning brand has been astonishing.”

Beauty PaRLR is a “beauty sanctuary with one simple goal to make you look and feel like the perfect version of yourself,” said Rubin.

The salon offers hair, makeup, eye lash, threading, and waxing services. Prices are reasonable and comparable to salons in MetroWest, and especially Boston. For hair, stylists cut, color, highlights, add extensions, and create updos.

RLR Studio offers a range of services from family photography, to corporate head shots, to senior portraits, to model and fashion photography.

“Anyone who steps in front of my camera is sure to feel like a model,” said Rubin.

O’Terry sang a trio of songs for the crowd on Saturday night, and sold copies of her CD, of which $5 from each sale benefits Lucy’s Love Bus.

Created by Lucy Grogan, 12, a few months before she died of a rare form of leukemia, Lucy’s Love Bus is a charity that provides comfort and quality of life to pediatric cancer patients. To read Lucy’s story, please visit lucyslovebus.org
