Wanted: Lacrosse Coach for Framingham High

Flyers boys lacrosse coach Ed Moy has resigned, after a decade with the Flyers.

After 10 seasons, as the Framingham High boys lacrosse Head Coach Ed Moy has resigned.

Framingham began advertising for the position this month.

The ad seeks a candidate who has the β€œtime to commit to the program, a knowledge of the game, and a passion for improving players’ skills and love of the game.”

The season starts in April 2016, with practices from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Prior to coaching lacrosse at Framingham High, Moy was coaching the Eagles of Boston College in Chestnut Hill.

Between 1985 and 1999, Moy, a Boston University employee, headed up the lacrosse program at Boston College.

He stepped down from that position to spend more time with his FraminghamΒ family, and took a post closer to home at Framingham State University, until he became coach of the Flyers.

Again, this time he is stepping down to spend more time with his family.

Moy played lacrosse while at Ithaca College, and was an assistant coach at Cortland State College, when that team won the NCAA Division 3 national championship in 1975.
