WEATHER UPDATE: Wind Chill Advisory for Framingham

A statewide Wind Chill Advisory, by the National Weather Service, went into effect yesterday.
The Weather Channel issued a similar warning with a start time last night and lasting until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

- According to the research firm IHS, Massachusetts’ economic loss clocks in $265 million every time state roads are shut because of weather.
- Boston has spent $30 million on cleaning snowy roads since January 25.
- TIME magazine reported that 237,863 miles have been plowed by Boston snow-removal crews, as of February 11.

The National Weather Service said snow showers will roll into the area on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, but they should only bring a light accumulation.
Highs on Wednesday may reach the 30s, but the rest of the week is expected to see highs only in the 20s.
