Whalers Sink Flyers 27-9

The final home game for the Framingham High football team is Friday, Nov. 6 against Taunton High.

Framingham High’s football team travelled to New Bedford Friday night.

The Flyers scored first but the game was tied 7-7 after the first quarter.

New Bedford pulled ahead when Andrew Rapoza scored on an 11-yard run with 19.5 seconds left in the half.

A 91-yard touchdown run by Rapoza on the first play of the fourth quarter gave New Bedford a 21-7 lead.

The Whalers defeated the Flyers 27-9.

The Flyers are now 1-7 on the season, under head coach Gary Doherty.

New Bedford is now 4-4.

The Framingham High football team’s final home game of the season is scheduled for Friday night, Nov. 6 against Taunton High School.

After that home game, the Flyers will have an away game against Milford High School on Friday, Nov. 13 and the Thanksgiving game against the Red Hawks in Natick.
