Where Motorists Will Encounter Road Construction in Framingham This Week

Today is the final day of November, and tomorrow starts December, but road construction is continuing in town, as the weather is expected to be mild this week.
Below is a list of road construction projects by the Town of Framingham, utilities, and MassDOT this week.
The projects are weather permitting, and the forecast does call for rain on Tuesday.

- CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: Construction of the new bridge will continue. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road Bridge. Please allow additional travel time.
- DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: Contractors will continue to install traffic signals, street lights and wiring throughout the project. Expect moderate delays and on-street parking restrictions.
- MAIN STREET: The contractor is anticipated to pave the roadway between High Street and Franklin Street on Monday, Nov. 30th in the overnight hours.During the day, punch list items and casting work will take place.Traffic plans may include one-way alternating traffic. Expect traffic delays on affected roadways. Police details will be on site to facilitate traffic.
- MAIN STREET: Eversource Gas will be completing the gas main and service tie-overs from 34 Main Street to High Street.
- ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: The contractor is working on the southern section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect moderate delays.
- SCHOOL STREET: Eversource Gas will install gas main and services on School Street from Fenwood Street to Cottage Street. Expect moderate delays.
- SPEEN STREET: Eversource Gas will install gas main and services on Speen Street from Old Connecticut Path to Cochituate Road. Expect delays.
